The Health IT Data Scientist II will develop advanced analytical models and predictive solutions that improve operational performance, support strategic planning, and enhance healthcare decision-making across DHS Health IT initiatives. This is a remote position. US Citizenship is required for consideration. Ability to obtain and retain a public trust clearance is required for consideration.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
Perform statistical analyses on structured and unstructured data.
Identify trends, patterns, and performance indicators.
Develop forecasting models supporting operational planning.
Design data visualizations and executive dashboards.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify analytical opportunities.
Validate analytical models and document methodologies.
Support AI and advanced analytics initiatives.
Present analytical findings to executive leadership.
Stay current with emerging data science technologies and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Minimum seven (7) years of data science experience.
Experience with Python, R, SQL, and machine learning techniques.
Strong statistical analysis and predictive modeling skills.
Experience with enterprise analytics platforms.
Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust suitability.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Data Science or related discipline.
Experience supporting Federal healthcare programs.
AI/ML platform experience.
Experience with Power BI and Tableau.
Compensation
Expected Salary Range: $110,000–$120,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location (if applicable), and final contract funding.
This position is expected to support a federal customer. Employment is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of any required background investigation or security requirements.
