Hearth Associate

Description

Primary Purpose

To be responsible for the daily operations and sales of the Hearth Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• •Assist with daily operations of the Hearth Department, including merchandising, maintaining display presentation, signage standards, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting customers with stove and accessory purchases.
• •Greet and acknowledge every customer, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• •Maintain constant radio communication with fellow associates to ensure smooth department operations.
• •Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Hearth products sold at the store, providing knowledgeable assistance to customers.
• •Stay informed about product knowledge, promotions, and merchandise offerings.
• •Assist customers throughout their entire hearth appliance, venting, and accessory purchase process.
• •Support the monitoring of warranty claims through the HHT and POS systems.
• •Stay current with HHT training to provide accurate product and service information.
• •Help coordinate customer service calls with Service Technicians using the electronic service form.
• •Assist in maintaining the BBQ concept center and participate in grill demonstrations.
• •Contribute to floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and general storehousekeeping tasks.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• •Help in other departments when needed.
• •Perform daily cleaning – such as, but not limited to, replacing full trashes with new trash bags,and sweeping the department floor.
• •Other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• •Basic knowledge of operating a POS system.
• •Basic knowledge of Eagle Browser.
• •Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• •Strong interpersonal skills.
• •Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly.
• •Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.
• •Preferably familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.
