Join a highly collaborative and patient-centered hospital medicine team at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to hospitalized patients across a broad range of medical conditions. As a Hospitalist, you will serve as the primary physician during hospitalization, leading patient care from admission through discharge Key Position Details:

  • Subspecialties available
  • Variable scheduling
  • Procedures- ultrasound procedures if provider desires; otherwise, all done by IR or anesthesia.
  • APP's do cross coverage 3-11pm

Job Description:

Provide comprehensive medical care for hospitalized patients.

  • Reviews patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
  • Provides education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.
  • Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
  • Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  • May participate in on-call rotation.
  • Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or work flows.
  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine and
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed, non-restricted Physician-MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire if working in MN (or ability to obtain one)
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine upon hire required
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required
  • Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required
  • National Provider Identifier upon hire required

Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges

Physical Demands

  • Medium Work*:
  • Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $350,100 to $366,400 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
