Duties

You will serve as a HOUSING MGMT ASSIST and be responsible for supporting housing, leased assets, and Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) across Sector Northern New England, specifically encompassing sub-regions from Rockland to Portland, ME, and from Portsmouth, NH to Burlington, VT. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Serves as a Housing Management Assistant and performs a variety of assignments related to contracting, occupancy, maintenance, and termination activities of government leased housing and Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) at the assigned locality. Locates adequate housing within the price guidelines established by Coast Guard Headquarters and negotiates contracts for units under the Coast Guard Leased Housing Program across the assigned multi-state sub-regions. Initiates lease contracts, modifications and renewals for personnel assigned to the locality. Submits contract to the appropriate Contracting Officer for execution. Receives and processes applications for permanent quarters. Determines housing eligibility and requirements of applicants. Counsels applicants regarding the availability, type, size and location of quarters. Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Experience managing leased housing programs and ensuring policy compliance. Experience conducting housing surveys, audits, and program reviews. Experience resolving lease, payment, and tenant/lessor issues.
