Job Summary
The HR & Talent Specialist supports the Human Resources department across HR administration, recruiting, onboarding, employee integration, and development. Working under the direction of HR, this role supports day-to-day HR processes and employee programs while assisting with attracting and hiring qualified candidates and coordinating onboarding and integration activities. The position administers the organization’s learning management system, coordinates training and development activities, and tracks employee milestones and progress. The role also supports HR reporting, employee communications, and department initiatives.

Essential Functions
- Partner with HR to coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and offer preparation.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, training schedules, and required systems and access.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and other HR systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Monitor new hire progress through the first 90 days and partner with Managers to ensure training and integration milestones are achieved.
- Administer and maintain the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS), including training assignments, content, completion tracking, and reporting.
- Support employee changes and transitions, including status changes, promotions, transfers, leaves, and separations.
- Partner with Managers to coordinate and maintain role-specific training, learning paths, and employee development resources.
- Track employee certifications, step progressions, and other development milestones.
- Assist with routine HR administration, employee communications, benefits administration, payroll-related changes, compliance tracking, and HR reporting.
- Support the HR Manager with department initiatives, employee programs, workforce planning, and other HR projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience)
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, onboarding, training and development, or related administrative support; healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience with HRIS and Learning Management Systems; Paylocity experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on responsibilities and projects.
Work Conditions
- Professional healthcare setting, including clinics, administrative areas, and patient-facing environments.
- Noise level ranges from quiet to moderate, depending on location and activity.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, or cleaning agents in accordance with standard protocols.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
- Ability to read and work with documents and computer screens.
- Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or other physical movement.
