Your Role in Synergy's Success

The Engineering & HSE Coordinator provides administrative and coordination support across the Engineering and Health, Safety & Environment functions. The role ensures that compliance documentation, risk assessments, engineering records and maintenance systems are accurately maintained and effectively managed. Working closely with multiple stakeholders, the position supports the development of a proactive safety culture while enabling efficient engineering operations and regulatory compliance across the site.

How You Will Contribute

• •Provide day-to-day coordination support across Engineering and HSE, ensuring actions, compliance requirements and key activities are effectively managed.
• •Support HSE activities including risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits, corrective actions and compliance improvement initiatives.
• •Maintain accurate Engineering and HSE documentation, including training records, risk assessments, contractor documentation and statutory inspection records.
• •Coordinate contractor activities, including inductions, permit-to-work requirements, documentation and safe working practices.
• •Take ownership of CMMS administration and maintenance planning, including work orders, preventive maintenance schedules and equipment records.
• •Monitor Engineering and HSE KPIs and support reporting across both functions.
• •Support the development and improvement of preventive maintenance plans and engineering processes.
• •Help drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety, compliance and operational efficiency across the site.

Key Ingredients for Success

Essential

• •Previous experience within an Engineering, Maintenance, HSE or manufacturing environment.
• •Experience using a CMMS or maintenance management system.
• •Good understanding of maintenance planning and engineering processes.
• •Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• •Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• •Strong communication skills and confidence working with different stakeholders.
• •A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
• •Experience using D365 maintenance functionality.

Desirable

• •Knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH and workplace safety requirements.
• •Experience coordinating contractors and permit-to-work processes.
• •Experience within food or FMCG manufacturing.
• •Knowledge of HSE compliance, audits and reporting..
