HVAC Install Apprentice

Position Overview:

As a Residential HVAC Install Technician, you will work as part of an installation team alongside a Lead Installer to complete residential HVAC installation projects. You will perform hands-on installation work, assist with system replacements and new installations, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform residential HVAC installations alongside a Lead Installer.

Assist with the installation, replacement, and setup of HVAC equipment and systems.

Install and connect equipment, ductwork, refrigerant lines, electrical components, and related materials.

Follow installation plans, specifications, and Lead Installer direction to complete projects efficiently.

Use hand and power tools safely and properly.

Assist with troubleshooting and resolving installation issues in the field.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.

Handle materials, tools, and equipment needed for installations.

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable HVAC codes and regulations.

Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and team members.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum of 2+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation techniques, and industry standards.

Ability to work effectively as part of an installation team.

Ability to follow direction and work independently on assigned installation tasks.

Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret basic HVAC diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Must be willing to undergo a background check, drug screen, and physical.

EPA certification required or preferred.

Familiarity with California Building Code and state-specific HVAC requirements preferred.

Work Environment:

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust. $20 — $24 USD
