The Manager, CKD MA Panel Management leads the day-to-day design, deployment, performance management, and continuous improvement of DaVita Integrated Kidney Care’s Chronic Kidney Disease Medicare Advantage (CKD MA) panel management capability. Panel management is both a tool and an operating process that brings together patient priorities across data sources, organizes work by the action expected from the care team, and helps teams focus on timely, actionable opportunities that can improve clinical and Tier 1 metric outcomes.

This manager owns an aspect of the CKD clinical programs functional area and translates broader CKD MA goals into measurable deliverables for the team. The role connects clinical priorities, operations, analytics, technology, training, and nephrology-facing workflows. It requires a hands-on leader who can establish a durable management process, resolve ambiguity, build cross-functional alignment, and move work from design through implementation, reinforcement, and scale.

Primary mandate: Create a reliable, scalable operating system for CKD MA panel management, with clear workflows, usable tools, strong adoption, measurable performance, and sustained field execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program ownership and operating model. Own the CKD MA panel management workstream end to end, including roadmap, governance, milestones, decision rights, risks, dependencies, and the ongoing management cadence.
  • Workflow and tool evolution. Translate clinical and operational requirements into prioritized tool and workflow enhancements; lead requirements definition, user acceptance testing, issue resolution, and integration with enterprise technology and reporting partners.
  • Performance management. Define leading and lagging indicators, establish baseline and target views, monitor adoption and execution, identify performance barriers, and lead action planning with market and functional partners.
  • Deployment and change management. Plan and lead pilots, phased launches, training, reinforcement, office hours, field support, and transition to steady-state operations. Anticipate the impact of changes and build buy-in across stakeholders.
  • Clinical-program integration. Ensure panel management supports CKD MA clinical and quality priorities, including nephrology visit optimization, data density, medication management, Stars care gaps, Optimal Starts, and Delay Progression, while keeping ownership and workflows clear.
  • Cross-functional leadership. Coordinate across clinical, operations, analytics, product/technology, training, market leadership, care pods, nephrology-facing teams, and payer-facing partners. Surface trade-offs, secure decisions, and resolve misalignment with limited supervision.
  • Executive communication. Synthesize complex operational, clinical, and performance information into concise recommendations, status updates, decision materials, and leadership readouts.
  • Team leadership and development. Set clear objectives and expectations, delegate work, drive accountability for results, coach teammates, and create an inclusive environment in which people can contribute, learn, and grow.
  • Continuous improvement. Use teammate and stakeholder feedback, workflow observation, data trends, and root-cause analysis to improve the tool, process, resources, and management system over time.
  • Future program readiness. As the CKD MA operating model stabilizes, extend the capability to support evolving contracts, payer requirements, and related CKD clinical programs without losing execution discipline.

What Success Looks Like

  • A single, understood operating process connects patient prioritization to care-team and nephrology action.
  • Field teams have the access, training, tools, job aids, and reinforcement needed to execute consistently.
  • Adoption, data quality, workflow completion, and outcome measures are visible through a repeatable performance-management cadence.
  • Tool and workflow enhancements are prioritized against business value, user need, clinical intent, effort, and risk.
  • Leaders receive clear insights, trade-offs, recommendations, and escalation paths rather than status reporting alone.
  • Cross-functional partners understand ownership, decisions are documented, and implementation risks are addressed early.
  • Direct reports have clear goals, meaningful ownership, regular feedback, and development plans.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, clinical operations, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Progressive experience in healthcare program management, clinical operations, population health, value-based care, care-model implementation, product operations, or a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a complex program or workstream from design through launch, scale, and performance management.
  • Experience leading people, project teams, or cross-functional work through clear objectives, delegation, coaching, and accountability.
  • Strong analytical judgment, including the ability to interpret operational and clinical data, identify drivers and risks, and convert findings into action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise executive-ready synthesis and facilitation of decision-oriented discussions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and build alignment without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience working with dashboards, workflow tools, and technology/product partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in chronic kidney disease, Medicare Advantage, Stars, kidney value-based care, medication management, care management, or nephrology-facing operations.
  • Experience with panel management, population-health workflows, clinical quality improvement, or enterprise-scale change adoption.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records, Tableau or comparable BI tools, clinical reporting, requirements definition, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience partnering with frontline clinicians and operators to design workflows that are clinically sound and operationally usable.
