Duties

• •Serves as a primary Industry Advocate engaging with the defense industrial base to understand concerns and provide guidance on government acquisition technology, policies, and requirements.
• •Serves as the principal advocate for industry partners on contract payment matters. Investigates and resolves complex and systemic payment issues.
• •Primary intake and responding component for Industrial Base Pay (IBP) for congressional inquiries originated for defense industrial base contractor issues.
• •Leads and executes a comprehensive customer outreach strategy to the defense industrial base.
• •Collaborates with industry partners to identify best business practices and systemic barriers, translating feedback into actionable recommendations for process improvements and policy changes.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Investigating and resolving complex, systemic payment and contracting issues; developing and proposing new guidelines, procedures, and internal controls; analyzing feedback on programs and systems to improve customer satisfaction. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
