INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT)

Summary

You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) in the NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND (NPC) of MY NAVY CAREER CENTER.

Duties

• •You will assist in the research, evaluation and providing of feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements.
• •You will assist with development and maintaining policy and procedures that sets standards for IT controls and retention requirements of evidence to substantiate effectiveness of IT control standards.
• •You will review and validates accuracy of contract compliance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Assists leadership in all matters pertaining to compliance with establishment and sustainment of IT user accounts to pay and personnel systems. 2. Supports management of application user accounts assuring Access Control program complies with Enterprise IT Control Standards. 3. Provides guidance in diagnosing and resolving computer problems in response to customer complaints and or issues and maintains problem tracking and resolution databases. 4. Assists in the research, evaluation and providing of feedback in problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements. 5. Identifies IT system requirements through data gathering and analytical techniquess to develop new or imporve on existing business processes to maintain, control and support IT cnotrol standards. 6. Prepares appropriate documentation for transfer of any command IT related property. 7. Assists in the development and maintenance of policy and procedures that set standards for IT cnotrols and retention requirements of evidence to substantiate effectiveness of IT control standards. 8. Assists in the review of mitigation plans to ensure minimum interruptions to service and compliance with the command's operational environment. Education

Education can be substituted for experience as described below: Successful completion of a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. OR Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
