INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (ENTARCH)

Summary

You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (ENTARCH) in the MARINE CORPS INSTALLATION COMMAND (MCICOM) of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION. Duties

• •You will establish and strategically manage each of the installation’s baseline information services capabilities and capacities (voice, video, and data).
• •You will annually evaluate user requirements against available and planned installation information services.
• •You will identify and design shared service plan solutions between HQMC Department organizational plans to leverage Marine Corps Installation current and future planned IT investments.
• •You will evaluate current and emerging best practices in Information Services account development and management.
• •You will develop security plans to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's information data.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading diverse, multi-disciplinary teams; writing and editing complex high-level technical documentation; communicating the business value of technology to technical and non-technical audiences; analyzing complex operational and technical issues and evaluating solutions for process improvement and IT service delivery; designing and planning IT architecture standards, security controls, and reference models; optimizing information management systems and workflows; and briefing senior leadership on complex technical topics and their business impacts. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide review and planning activities for strategic level mission requirements management, including operational Weapons Systems and systems architecture and integration standards. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provides enterprise architecture support recommendations to the Information Services Branch Head and affected Program Managers. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide consultation services for the Installations (supporting) in garrison Tenant Organizations (supported) personnel. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Serves as advisor for Operational Forces and staff elements concerning various problem areas for standardization, organizational changes, Information Services related regulations, manpower or classification surveys, establishment of effective audit trails, and general efficient utilization of the operating forces (OPFOR) use of Installation facilities and training area.
