Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$114,700.00 - $189,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer II to join our organization as we grow and transform our Enterprise Technology Solutions organization.

The Infrastructure Engineers II focuses on administering and improving enterprise Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration services. The position combines Exchange, Teams, automation, troubleshooting, security, compliance, and project delivery responsibilities.

What Will You Do?

• •Exchange platform ownership: The role manages Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange Server in a hybrid environment, including Azure AD Connect, mail flow, mailboxes, distribution groups, routing policies, server health, queues, retention, and archiving.
• •Teams and collaboration administration : Responsibilities include enterprise Teams policies, meetings, client updates, and Teams Phone System capabilities such as Direct Routing, dial plans, call queues, normalization rules, and E911 services. The role also maintains integrations with Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• •Automation and operational support: PowerShell automation is used for onboarding and offboarding, license and mailbox setup, Teams configuration, batch changes, health reporting, usage analysis, monitoring, configuration management, patching, and backups. The engineer provides Tier 3 troubleshooting, performs root cause analysis, and manages escalations to Microsoft Support.
• •Upgrades and cross-team delivery: The position plans and executes Exchange updates, mailbox migrations, new Microsoft 365 feature deployments, and possible tenant-to-tenant migrations through testing and change-management processes. It also requires detailed documentation, runbooks, training, and collaboration with Network, Security, and Help Desk teams.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Core Qualifications & Experience:

• •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or its equivalent in work experience.
• •5 years of relevant Infrastructure or Systems Engineering experience.
• •Substantial Exchange hybrid and Teams expertise, and experience with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
• •Required technical knowledge spans Exchange architecture, Teams policies and voice, Azure AD identity and security, Conditional Access, MFA, PowerShell, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, networking, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft certifications, advanced Microsoft 365 services, third-party administration tools, enterprise or regulated-industry experience, and leadership of migrations or upgrade projects are advantageous.

• •This position offers a flexible hybrid work model.
• •Occasional off-hours maintenance or critical-incident response may be required.

What is a Must Have?

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in work experience plus 4 years of infrastructure engineering experience.
