Infrastructure Specialist-Cloud Application Operations

As an Infrastructure Specialist: Cloud Application Operations, you will provide 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions, addressing issues related to application, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure. You will handle Level 1.5 remediation across the fleet using a standard workflow and incident handling process. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Provide Technical Support: Address issues related to application, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure, utilizing various tools and technologies, including APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, middleware components, network, security, and infrastructure. • Manage Incident Resolution: Receive and record incident information, select appropriate actions to resolve issues, and communicate the solution or action plan to the client, ensuring timely and effective resolution. • Ensure Cloud Elasticity: Manage Application ID and provide cloud elasticity by auto-scaling resources based on business requirements, ensuring efficient resource utilization. • Monitor Client Environment: Utilize monitoring tools like IBM APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Runscope, Netcool OmniBus to monitor the client's environment, identifying potential issues and taking proactive measures. • Deliver Service Management Reports: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly integrated service management reports across the solution, ensuring transparency and visibility into service performance. • Exposure to Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes nodes, with the ability to address related technical issues. • Experience with Monitoring Tools: Exposure to monitoring tools like IBM APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Runscope, and Netcool OmniBus, with the ability to utilize them to identify potential issues. • Understanding of ITIL Processes: Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change management, and Integrated Service Level Management, with the ability to apply them in a cloud application operations context. • Experience with Ticketing and Automation Tools: Exposure to ticketing tools like ServiceNow, IBM Control Desk & Remedy, and automation tools such as Rundeck and IBM Runbook Automation, with the ability to effectively utilize them. • Knowledge of Cloud Application Architecture: Understanding of high-level cloud application architecture, with the ability to perform initial analysis on incidents and manage Application ID and cloud elasticity. • Familiarity with Scripting Languages: Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash would be beneficial for automation and efficiency in cloud application operations. • Knowledge of Cloud Security: Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks would be advantageous in ensuring the security and integrity of cloud-based solutions. • Experience with Agile Methodologies: Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices would be valuable in collaborating with development teams and ensuring smooth deployment of cloud applications.
