In this role, the oncology nurse encompasses both direct and indirect aspects of nursing care. Ambulatory oncology nursing includes the roles of direct caregiver, educator, clinical service coordinator, research nurse. It is multimodal, including medical, surgical, and radiotherapy nursing practice. Maintains compliance of COLA, OSHA and CLIA to maintain laboratory status. The testing personnel are responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and for reporting test results

Qualifications:

• •Minimum associates degree in Nursing or equivalent from two year college or technical school
• •Oncology experience is preferred
• •Must maintain current Indiana nursing license
• •Oncology Nurse Certification highly encouraged and supported
• •BLS for Healthcare Provider required from a provider that follows AHA guidelines (American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Health Safety Institute) and requires a skill check off upon hire
