Innovation Engineer

As Innovation Engineer (100%) , you will be responsible for Innovation projects related to the development of state-of-the-art water monitoring and water treatment technologies.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn, Switzerland .

How You’ll Make an Impact:

You are member of a highly experienced and skilled Innovation team of water scientists and engineers, and you report to the Head of Innovation Laboratory. You take the lead in Innovation projects related to the development of state-of-the-art water monitoring and water treatment technologies, including the following stages:

• •Research and ideation: Identify customer needs, market gaps, and technological advancements.
• •Idea screening and feasibility: Evaluate concepts according to their technical feasibility, existing intellectual property (IP) and IP opportunities, costs.
• •Concept development and prototyping: Develop process flow diagrams (PFD), define specifications, build prototypes for further testing.
• •Product testing and validation: Laboratory testing, performance analysis and optimization, usability testing. Evaluation against safety and regulatory standards.
• •Preparation for manufacturing: Prepare verified prototype for mass production and commercial scale by transferring design from Innovation to the production team.
• •Commercialization and market launch: Branding, pricing strategies, supply-chain distribution.

Qualifications:

• •MSc or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
• •Innovative and hands-on mentality with a sense of ownership and responsibility
• •Self-driven personality, creative, and able to work under pressure
• •Strong communication skills and team-oriented working capability. Ability to work efficiently with various internal and external stakeholders.
• •Strong project management skills
• •Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
• •Proficiency in Quality Control, SOPs and lab environment work
• •Willingness to travel internationally (occasionally; up to 10%)
• •Fluent in English; German and/or French is an added value
• •EU or Swiss citizenship or valid Swiss work permit
