Job Description:

The Department of Public Health at the University of Mississippi is seeking applications for an Instructional Assistant Professor of Public Health. This is a 9-month, non-tenure-track position to begin as early as January 2027. Applicants will teach in the online MPH and online minor in public health. The public health programs are housed in the Department of Public Health (est. 2024). We encourage team-oriented individuals passionate about shaping the future of a new academic department to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:

• •Doctoral degree in public health or a health-related field by the time of employment
• •Master’s degree in public health (MPH) or a health-related field
• •Evidence of a strong public health online teaching experience
• •Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship .

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Evidence of online instructional professional development.
• •Experience developing new online or hybrid courses
• •Experience in monitoring online course work/serving as an administrative role in online education
