The Instructional Site Coordinator, under the supervision of the Nursing Program Director, serves as the lead faculty member and student success coordinator for a WVU Medicine Center for Nursing Education (CNE) facility location. They are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day academic, clinical, and student support functions. In collaboration with program leadership, this role will ensure the consistent delivery of the nursing curriculum, promote student success and progression, and maintain compliance with program standards, institutional policies, and accreditation requirements. This position carries responsibilities in teaching, scholarship, and service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

2. Current Registered Nurse license (Unencumbered) issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse (RN) license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

EXPERIENCE:

1. Three (3) years of experience teaching in a nursing education program.

To be completed as established by department: (Administered at Department level)

1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Doctoral degree with a major in nursing, education, public health, administration, or other field related to the assignment.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Three (3) years of administrative experience in an undergraduate and/or graduate nursing program.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Provide-on-one academic advising and guidance to help students navigate their educational journey.

2. Monitor academic progress and utilize early alert systems to identify at-risk students.

3. Identify and assist students facing academic, personal, and/or financial challenges.

4. Develop and implement student success teams, student success plans, intervention strategies, and learning contracts for students experiencing academic difficulty, re-evaluating as needed.

5. Monitor and analyze student performance and the impact of success programming using a variety of formative and summative evaluation methods to proactively address gaps in student achievement.

6. Implement programs and workshops aimed at improving student success, retention, graduation rates, and NCLEX pass rates.

7. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities focused on student retention, crisis de-escalation, crucial conversations, navigating sensitive student situations, and building academic and emotional resilience in a rigorous clinical nursing program.

8. Act as a primary academic point of contact for students and faculty.

9. Serve as the local representative of the nursing program for prospective students, community partners, and WVU Medicine medical facilities.

10. Serve as a liaison for regional clinical partners and assist with preceptorship and clinical placements.

11. Coordinate, schedule, and maintain required documentation for faculty-led clinical rotations and preceptorships across healthcare sites.

12. Orient and onboard new adjunct faculty members.

13. Work collaboratively with faculty colleagues to maintain program quality and meet accreditation requirements.

14. Assist faculty with course design and implementation.

15. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, committee work, training sessions, admission meetings, and accreditation reviews.

16. Participate in special CNE events, such as new student orientation, open houses, career fairs, pinning ceremonies, and graduation.

17. Teach students up to 6 credit equivalents per semester across face-to-face, online and hybrid modalities, implementing a uniform, program-level curriculum utilizing best practices in nursing education.

18. Adhere to all health system, school, and departmental policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, standards and rules (Title IX, Title IV, WV RN Board, ACEN, FERPA, HIPAA and other related regulations.

19. Perform additional duties as assigned and contribute positively, professionally, and equitably to program operations and team processes.

20. Demonstrate competency in computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft office and other student services software (i.e. Blackboard, myClinicalExchange, Jenzabar, Epic, ATI, and Exxat)
