Job Summary

Learns and applies general understanding of insurance industry and basic knowledge of business landscape. Develops skills necessary for problem solving and more complex/difficult analysis using cutting edge analytical/statistical methods.

Essential Functions/Principal Responsibilities

• •Under direct supervision, performs routine tasks including data gathering, updating and producing requested reports. Works within specific limits and on assignments of limited complexity.
• •Review materials related to functional area to identify changes, perform prescribed analysis and present observations to senior staff.
• •Prepares standard reports as defined on a predefined calendar. Identify variances to norms and identify possible next steps; present to senior staff
• •Maintain documentation on processes and procedures.

Qualifications

• •Strong research, statistical, analytical, processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses.
• •Adaptability and the capability of multi-tasking and effective time management.
• •Ability to make effective formal presentations.
• •Effective oral and written communication skills.
• •Ability to work in a team environment.
• •Knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts.
• •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic and various structured analysis and design techniques
• •Bachelor's degree in mathematics or other related, analytical major
• •Typically 6 months to 2 years of general business experience and/or related industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

The national average hourly rate for this position is $32.76-$36.40. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $32.76-$43.66. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 5% of eligible pay.
