Intellectual Property Lawyer

We are currently seeking Intellectual Property Lawyers to work with a variety of Axiom clients across a range of industries, supporting a broad range of intellectual property matters.

Responsibilities:

Provide practical, business-focused legal advice on intellectual property matters, including trade marks, copyright, patents, brand protection, licensing and IP strategy.

Draft, review and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licences, assignments, collaboration agreements, confidentiality agreements, settlements and wider commercial contracts.

Support the IP aspects of corporate transactions, product development and business projects, including due diligence, IP risk assessment and transaction documentation.

Work closely with legal, product, commercial, marketing, technology and business teams to manage IP risk and deliver commercially effective outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with relevant UK intellectual property experience, and right to work in the UK.

Experience advising on one or more areas of intellectual property law, including trade marks, copyright, patents, licensing, brand protection, IP disputes or commercial IP matters.

Experience gained in private practice, in-house or on secondment, supporting commercial, technology, consumer, media, life sciences or other IP-rich organisations.

Strong commercial awareness, drafting, negotiation, stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic and business-focused advice.
