Summary

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Military S&TI Directorate, Movement and Maneuver Division, Infantry Branch, Charlottesville, VA 22911 .

Duties

• •Lead scientific and technical intelligence analysis.
• •Plan, oversee, and evaluate research programs and analytic methods.
• •Direct and integrate intelligence production.
• •Develop and deliver tailored intelligence products and senior-level briefings.
• •Advise leadership on analytic priorities, workforce capability, and program effectiveness.
• •Represent the organization in Army, Department of War, interagency, and Intelligence Community forum.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes leading or conducting scientific and technical intelligence analysis of foreign ground-force weapons and soldier systems; applying scientific, engineering, and intelligence methods to assess military-system performance and future capabilities; overseeing intelligence research or production; communicating technical findings to senior stakeholders; and coordinating or representing an organization in Department of War, interagency, or Intelligence Community analytic forums.
