Intelligence Specialist (Staff Management)

Summary

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 704TH Military Intelligence Brigade, 742ND Military Intelligence Battalion, Army Cryptologic Office, Fort Meade, MD.

Duties

• •Serves as a key Staff Officer in the Army Cryptologic Office, Cryptologic Capabilities Branch with responsibilities for coordinating the operational issues that have impact on the Army.
• •Coordinates and supports Cryptologic Capabilities across Army Futures Command, PEO IEWS, INSCOM and other key stakeholders.
• •Conveys Army/lNSCOM positions and views on pertinent SIGINT issues directly with action elements of NSA.
• •Obtains, compiles and prepares information for forwarding to INSCOM and DA Staff on operational matters as required during the day-to-day involvement with NSA/CSS.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in thisjob. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience coordinating Cryptologic operations and interfacing with intelligence community to optimize SIGINT procedures AND experience utilizing Joint Capabilities and Development System (JCIDS), and/or Joint Urgent Operational Needs Statements (JUONS), and/or Operational Needs Statements (ONS) to integrate SIGINT capabilities. Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
