Hiring now for a Senior Radiographer (Locum) in Colchester (Band 6–7). £25–£30 p/h depending on experience, with flexible patterns and quick compliance. Ideal for radiographers confident across core imaging with strong standards and mentorship experience.
What you’ll do
Deliver safe, patient-centred diagnostic imaging across a busy hospital service
Use RIS/PACS/EPR accurately; keep clear records and protect data confidentiality
Contribute to image quality, protocol optimisation and routine QA
Mentor and support juniors/students; help coordinate daily workflow
Work closely with the MDT to meet service demand and turnaround times
Must-haves
Degree (or equivalent) in Diagnostic Radiography
HCPC registration as a Radiographer
Strong recent experience operating at senior level in a hospital imaging team
Comfortable supervising colleagues and maintaining high professional standards
Confident user of hospital IT systems (RIS/PACS/EPR)
Nice-to-haves
Any exposure to Interventional Radiology (IR)
Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
Experience in Computed Tomography (CT)
