Investment Analyst

London | Hybrid

As an Investment Analyst at Mattioli Woods, you'll support the with the research of UK equities. You'll report to the Fund Manager and work with the wider Investment Research and Asset Allocation teams.

What you'll be doing

• •research equities using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• •conduct due diligence, and contribute to asset allocation and investment strategy.
• •support investment selection, portfolio construction and ongoing oversight.
• •write research reports and present findings to investment teams and other stakeholders.
• •use investment research, portfolio management and risk systems, and sometimes lead improvements to them.
• •improve investment data, management information and reporting.
• •work with external parties such as brokers and system providers, and debate investment ideas with colleagues.

What we’re looking for

• •a minimum of 5 years' experience in investment management or investment research.
• •a strong understanding of financial markets
• •experience in equity and fund manager selection, portfolio oversight or asset allocation.
• •the ability to interpret complex data and form investment views.
• •the ability to present investment ideas clearly to different audiences.
• •advanced Excel skills and familiarity with investment systems such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morningstar or FE.
• •attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and a collaborative approach to debating investment ideas.
• •CISI Level 4 or equivalent qualification

Experience with Power BI/Python (or other programming languages) and CFA is highly desirable.
