Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Fabricate and shape structural steel and sheet metal, following blueprints and engineering specifications.
• •Interpret architectural plans to accurately execute steel installation, reinforcing concrete, and erecting steel frames.
• •Utilize welding and cutting techniques to create, modify, and repair metal components.
• •Direct crane operations to facilitate the movement of steel materials around construction sites.
• •Ensure the alignment and precision of steel columns, beams, and girders during installation.
• •Secure steel bars to reinforce concrete structures, contributing to overall stability.
• •Collaborate with the team to find innovative solutions for construction challenges.
• •Inspect and assess older metal infrastructure for repair and restoration.
• •Apply plumb bobs, laser equipment, and other tools to ensure accurate alignment.
• •Safeguard adherence to safety protocols throughout the construction process.
• •Assist in the installation of finishing components, including stairs, handrails, and curtain walls.
• •Thoroughly check completed work for quality, making necessary adjustments.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• •Proven experience as an Iron Worker or in a related role.
• •Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
• •Strong welding, cutting, and metal fabrication skills.
• •Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in construction environments.
• •Ability to operate cranes and direct crane operations safely.
• •Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• •Physical stamina to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• •Relevant certifications in welding or ironworking are advantageous.

Working Conditions:

• •Physical work environment, including outdoor and elevated spaces.
• •Flexible work hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
• •Travel to different construction sites may be necessary.
• •Exposure to various weather conditions and noisy environments.

Physical Requirements:
