IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN)

Summary

You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (SYSADMIN) in the Infrastructure Branch of the Operations Department, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Div LKE SE & ALRE Group of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Duties

• •You will provide authoritative advice, which is accepted as accurate by management and is used as the basis for managerial decision making.
• •You will direct the work of other employees (of equivalent or lower Pay Bands) who may be involved in performing segments of the overall work under the employee’s cognizance.
• •You will participate in definition of assignments, determine approaches from a wide range of alternatives, and identify and assemble required resources.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 (GS-09/10) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving performing duties such as: Administering, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining organizational operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and physical/virtual server environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Managing user accounts, domain services, group policies, NTFS file share permissions, and network storage access. Executing system updates, software deployments, and automated patching cycles while monitoring overall system performance, capacity, and availability.Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving complex system-level operational, hardware, software, or cross-platform integration problems. Performing vulnerability scans, applying security patches, and executing remediation protocols to fix system weaknesses. Implementing and maintaining information-system security controls in compliance with DoD standards, such as DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Ensuring system configuration compliance and maintaining security-related system documentation.
