About the Role

You will help design, build, and modernize secure, scalable microservices that support retirement product solutions and customer processing. In this role, you will develop cloud-ready applications using modern Java technologies and contribute to reliable, high-performance platforms that serve critical business operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring security, quality, and operational excellence. Success in this role is measured through the delivery of resilient services, system performance improvements, and continuous modernization outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

• •Develop and maintain secure, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• •Design and build RESTful APIs that integrate with databases, messaging platforms, and external systems.
• •Deploy, monitor, and support containerized applications on OpenShift and cloud environments.
• •Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• •Modernize legacy applications into maintainable, reusable, and scalable service architectures.
• •Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure software quality.
• •Review code, troubleshoot production issues, and implement performance improvements.
• •Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and production readiness activities.
• •Implement secure coding practices and maintain compliance with enterprise standards.
• •Support Agile delivery by participating in planning, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• •Experience developing Java-based enterprise applications, including microservices architectures.
• •Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• •Experience designing and developing REST APIs and service integrations.
• •Hands-on experience with Docker and Red Hat OpenShift or AWS cloud platforms.
• •Proficiency in automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, and integration testing frameworks.
• •Experience working with SQL and relational database technologies.
• •Knowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.
• •Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and OpenShift ecosystem tooling.
• •Knowledge of AWS services such as EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• •Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• •Familiarity with OpenAPI, Swagger, and API lifecycle management.
• •Experience implementing observability practices including metrics, tracing, logging, dashboards, and alerting.
• •Knowledge of financial services or retirement products technology environments.
