JetVac Assistant

About the Role:

We are looking to appoint a JetVac Assistant to join our Aberdeen Depot. Working as part of a two person teams, you will be responsible for attending drainage related issues such as blockages, pipe clearing, cleansing and reactive call outs.

Location: Aberdeen

Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week

Salary: £13.50 per hour

Responsibilities

Operate machinery

Ensure all H&S requirements are followed

Communicate with customers about scheduled works and address any concerns.

Assist in identifying drainage issues, including blockages, structural defects, infiltration, and root ingress.

Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear drains, sewers, and pipework.

Remove waste materials and prevent build-up in wastewater systems.

Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure readiness.

Support CCTV inspections to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.

Assist in emergency response situations, including flooding and urgent drainage issues.

Learn to complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) under supervision.
