Your role

• •Perform engineering work following AtkinsRéalis/Candu Energy QA programs, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• •Lead and contribute to conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design activities.
• •Prepare engineering deliverables: drawings (GAs, DDs, EDs), calculations, reports, design manuals, specifications, BOMs.
• •Coordinate with clients, suppliers, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• •Prepare EQRs, provide procurement technical support, and interface with vendors.
• •Collaborate, mentor, and review the work of junior/assistant engineers and designers.
• •Conduct field walkdowns; prepare reports; lead or support field changes, commissioning, AFS, and closeout activities.
• •Manage assigned scopes within budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• •Provide prompt technical resolutions for engineering issues.

About you

• •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; and eligible to register. Master’s degree is preferred in Power Engineering and Distribution systems.
• •Experience in previous large and mega design‑build projects.
• •0 - 2+ years' experience in electrical engineering and nuclear industry power systems.
• •Experienced in designing cable sizing, breaker sizing, cable tray sizing, transformer sizing and picking power electrical components as per OESC, CEC, ESA codes.
• •Experience with ETAP or similar modelling software is preferred.
• •Site experience in construction or commissioning (asset).
• •Strong knowledge of CANDU electrical systems is preferred.
• •Strong in fundamentals of electrical power engineering.
• •Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary work.
• •Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary work.
• •Proficiency in MV/LV distribution, SLDs, diagrams, load lists, transformer/cable/breaker sizing.
• •Strong communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills.
