IAG GBS drives efficiency and simplicity in providing centralised solutions in Finance Operations, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, Treasury, Audit and Airline services across IAG.

Purpose of the role

  • To ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the agreed regional finance processes within a dedicated Group’s OpCo.
  • Handle queries from OpCo representatives, local supplier and partners in accordance with established protocols.
  • Champion excellent service and continuous process improvement to implement those driving efficiencies.
  • Manage financial and process risk and adhere to internal and external compliance obligations.

Responsibilities

Carry out day to day processes within area of responsibility including:

Financial reporting: local books preparation including liaison with local advisors; raising and filling specific invoices as per local requirements

Resolve day to day queries and operational issues from the supported OpCo regional finance organisation and other regional/in-country partners and stakeholders within area of responsibility

Search for process standardisation and improvement opportunities in the covered area and/or across wider PtP Team; contribute to further alignment with IAG GBS Finance Global Process framework

Create and govern standard operating procedures as needed and maintaining DTPs and process maps

Undertake user training for processes and systems as required

Handling refunds for individual customers with close cooperation with local Sales Points in Spain

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Finance and Accounting or related field

Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of working in a finance and accounting environment

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, global environment with tight deadlines and finite resources

Excellent analytical skills: experience of using Excel to manipulate large volumes of data is desirable.

Highly computer literate with the ability to develop knowledge where required and work around both, the new and legacy, systems

Knowledge of global business compliance and regulatory context

Stakeholder management skills across a diverse geographic region and at multiple levels, with the gravitas to engage with and influence stakeholders

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved

Exceptional problem solving and issue resolution skills

Fluency in English (Spanish is a plus)

Experience as a corporate shared services process operative

Working in a multicultural environment

Nice to have: SAP or S/4Hana
