About us

Ricoh Samoa is part of Ricoh South Pacific, the Ricoh distributor for New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. We install and support business technology for companies and government across Vanuatu: managed printers, IT hardware and networks, audio-visual and video-conferencing systems, and digital signage.

About the role

We're looking for a technically minded person who likes working out why something isn't working, then fixing it properly. You don't need years of experience. We'll train you on Ricoh's product range and our service systems. What you do need is:

a real interest in technology,

careful hands, and

the discipline to follow a procedure and finish the job.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role. Most days you'll be out at customer sites installing equipment, fixing faults and helping people get back to work.

What you'll do

Install and set up printers, computers, networks and AV equipment at customer sites

Diagnose and repair faults on equipment, including mechanical and electrical adjustments

Configure and troubleshoot networks, on-site and remotely

Carry out preventive maintenance to stop faults before they happen

Log every job accurately in our service system, including parts used, time taken and outcome

Explain clearly to customers what you've done and what they need to know

What we're looking for

A genuine interest in technology. You're the person friends ask when something breaks.

A qualification in IT, electronics or electrical is preferred, but hands-on ability and willingness to learn matter more

Basic understanding of computers and networks (Wi-Fi, IP addresses, cabling) is an advantage

Careful and methodical. You follow the procedure and don't leave a job half done.

Friendly and professional with customers

A full driver's licence

Comfortable with smartphones, apps and AI tools. Our service system runs on them.
