Junior Urban Planner/Infra Planner/Architect

Role Overview

The Junior Urban Planner/Infrastructure Planner/Architect will support the planning, design, and development of urban infrastructure, industrial parks, townships, smart cities, and regional development projects. The role involves assisting senior planners and engineers in master planning, infrastructure planning, data analysis, GIS mapping, report preparation, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Urban & Master Planning

• •Assist in preparation of Master Plans, Concept Plans, Zonal Plans, and Layout Plans.
• •Support land-use planning, density analysis, and development control assessments.
• •Conduct demographic, socioeconomic, and market studies.
• •Assist in preparation of planning standards and development guidelines.

Infrastructure Planning

• •Support planning of:
• •Roads and transportation networks
• •Storm water drainage systems
• •Water supply systems
• •Sewerage and wastewater systems
• •Recycled water networks
• •Solid waste management systems
• •Power distribution and utility corridors

Review infrastructure layouts and ensure coordination among disciplines.

GIS & Data Management

• •Prepare GIS maps and spatial databases.
• •Analyze satellite imagery, survey data, and land records.
• •Generate thematic maps, utility plans, and planning drawings.

Technical Documentation

• •Assist in preparation of:
• •Feasibility Reports
• •Concept Reports
• •Preliminary Design Reports (PDR)
• •Detailed Project Reports (DPR)
• •Tender Documents and BOQs
• •Client presentations and technical notes

Survey & Site Coordination

• •Coordinate with topographical, geotechnical, traffic, and utility survey teams.
• •Conduct site visits and collect field data.
• •Validate survey information and identify planning constraints.

Stakeholder Coordination

• •Coordinate with engineering teams, architects, environmental consultants, and government authorities.
• •Participate in project review meetings and prepare MOMs (Minutes of Meetings).
• •Support statutory approval processes.

Required Technical Skills

Planning & Design Software

• •AutoCAD
• •ArcGIS / QGIS
• •Google Earth Pro
• •MS Office Suite
• •Civil 3D (preferred)
• •SketchUp (preferred)

Technical Knowledge

Basic understanding of:

• •Urban Planning principles
• •Industrial Park Planning
• •Township Development
• •Road hierarchy and transportation planning
• •Water supply and sewerage systems
• •Storm water drainage
• •Utility corridor planning
• •Land development regulations
• •Development Control Regulations (DCR)

Qualification

• •Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning , Urban & Regional Planning , Architecture , Civil Engineering (with planning specialization), or related field.
• •Master's degree in planning / engineering / IDM
• •2-4 years experience
