Description:

Position Summary:

Involved with registration, collection, processing and quality control of specimens, receives and instructs patients, processes lab orders and distributes laboratory reports.

Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Shift – 6:30 am to 3 pm or 10:30 am to 6 pm

What you will need:

• •High school diploma or equivalent.
• •Phlebotomy training certification preferred.
• •Experience preferred.
• •Proficient use of computers.

What you will do:

• •Collect blood samples from patients.
• •Accurately identify, lab transfer and process specimens.
• •Receives and instructs patients, nurses, staff physicians, doctor’s offices regarding proper collection of specimens and laboratory reports, procedures and other lab information.
• •Receives and instructs patients, interprets physician’s orders, enters orders into lab computer system and schedules appointments.
