Job Description

The Laboratory Technician will be joining a collaborative and purpose-driven team focused on ensuring the safety and performance of medical devices. As a Laboratory Technician, you will carry out structured and exploratory testing on a range of products, contributing to the development and improvement of life-enhancing technologies. This role involves hands-on testing, accurate data recording, and active participation in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• •Perform product testing in line with established procedures, protocols, and timelines
• •Record test results clearly and accurately in both physical and digital formats
• •Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration is up to date
• •Report any irregularities in test results or equipment performance promptly
• •Support the development of new test methods and equipment
• •Contribute to investigations, prototype evaluations, and exploratory testing
• •Assist with laboratory upkeep and administrative tasks
• •Provide input and support during internal and external audits

Preferred Requirements:

• •Degree in Biological or Engineering Sciences, or equivalent laboratory experience
• •Comfortable interpreting technical documentation and following detailed procedures
• •Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting
• •Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically
• •Able to manage time effectively and remain focused during repetitive tasks
• •Experience with data analysis and a good level of numeracy .

Salary range for the role: £26 000 - £27 000 + benefits
