Job Description

Laser design engineer for InP semiconductor laser, especially for DFB laser and high-speed EML.

Responsibilities:

• •Develop new or enhanced laser design with semiconductor material physics, optical science and high-speed design technologies.
• •Responsible for the stable volume production and the improvement of productivity
• •Product design of DFB laser and EML for yield improvement and cost reduction
• •Design and fabricate the necessary parts for evaluation, such as submounts, as needed.
• •Evaluate fabricate chips, analyze evaluation data and write reports of them.
• •Attend a meeting to explain and discuss the results.

Expected Background:

• •BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field.
• •Bachelors and 6+ years of work experience, Masters and 4+ years of work experience. PhD. no relevant work experiences.

Expected Skill:

• •Knowledge of compound semiconductor such as InP material system and material physics.
• •Experience of semiconductor laser design and development with at least 1-2 years’ experience.
• •Experience of product design for yield improvement and cost reduction of semiconductor laser diode
• •Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability
• •Fluent Japanese speaker and intermediate English skill
• •Basic PC skills, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
