The Opportunity:

The Laundry Aide performs various laundry duties associated with providing residents with the required laundry service. The Laundry Aide assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.

What Is In It For You:

• •Sorts and separates items to be laundered in accordance with laundering requirements.
• •Operates automatic washing machines, dryers, irons and sewing machine.
• •Hand irons and folds/hangs garments after laundering.
• •Performs simple mending and repairs.
• •Transports laundered garments to appropriate floors.
• •Ensures proper identification of all personal clothing.
• •Maintains a clean work environment, dusting and washing equipment and shelves as required.
• •Maintains appropriate level of supplies (e.g. soap, bleach, fabric softener and thread).
• •Cleans work area upon completion of shift.

What You Will Need:

• •Previous experience in a laundry operation is preferred.
• •Must understand the basics of good laundry techniques/practices.
• •A minimum of public-school education is required. Grade 12 Diploma preferred.
• •Must be able to read, write and follow oral instructions.

Salary: $21.47 per hour

Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
