Laundry Manager

Half Moon is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Laundry Manager to take overall responsibility for our Central Laundry facility. In this critical operational role, you will oversee comprehensive linen processing, valet/staff laundry, dry cleaning operations, and quality control. You will ensure a seamless, high-quality supply of fresh linens across all resort areas - including Villas at Half Moon, Founder’s Cove, and Eclipse - supporting Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Conference/Function, and Activities operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all hotel laundry service operations and dry cleaning systems, ensuring capabilities to support both internal resort needs and external properties/clients.

Maintain strict control, quality standards, and inventory management of all linens and clothing, coordinating receipts, distribution, storage, repairs, and monthly audits with the Accounting department.

Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate laundry staff, maintaining high employee morale, proper grooming/hygiene standards, and comprehensive training records.

Forecast annual budgets, monitor P&L statements, control operational costs and expenses, manage payroll, and handle billing and accounts receivables.

Coordinate with engineering and chemical providers to ensure preventive maintenance, wash-formula testing, and safe, cost-effective plant operations.

Act as a direct liaison with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance, and cover Housekeeping operations when required.

Ensure adherence to statutory legislation, health and safety standards, environmental policies, and emergency preparedness protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven senior experience in managing a high-volume commercial or luxury resort laundry facility.

Proficiency in Windows-based office software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a full understanding of laundry/dry cleaning software and mechanics.

Strong organizational, communication, financial, and team-building skills, with a proven ability to lead staff and manage complex operational schedules.
