Laundry Worker Supervisor

Summary

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the medical center's laundry services within Environmental Management Services. The position reports directly to the Laundry Plant Manager and provides both technical and administrative supervision to subordinate employees.

Duties

Duties: Ensure the pressure is adjusted correctly on the rolls of the flatwork irone. Counsel employees and recommends disciplinary actions of subordinates when required. Work with team to ensure operations are effective. Supervise employees, manage leave and performance issues. Make routine decisions and answers employees' questions regarding procedures and machine operation. Submit necessary records, reports as required, submit request for supplies and prepare forms for turn-in unserviceable linen clothing. Lead and instruct employees on the proper use and care of equipment and linen handling methods. Adheres to the Equal Opportunity Program and investigates grievances and/or complaints to resolve them informally. Ensure employees receive pertinent safety training.. Ensure conveyor belts are intact, properly adjusted, and clipper lacing is intact. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM, subject to change based on the needs of the facility. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/29/2026. EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.
