Growing together.** **Primary Responsibilities:** + Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML and Generative AI solutions that address critical business and operational challenges + Architect and implement reusable AI platforms, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation capabilities to accelerate enterprise adoption of AI + Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, establishing best practices for AI solution development, model deployment, and operational excellence + Partner with product, business, and technology stakeholders to define AI roadmaps and deliver high-value solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience + Drive innovation in areas such as GenAI, NLP, intelligent document processing, and workflow automation while ensuring alignment with enterprise governance and security standards + Optimize and scale production AI systems, improving reliability, performance, and business value realization across multiple initiatives + Builder Responsibilities: + Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products, workflows, and decision-making + Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field + 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments + Solid experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and agentic AI frameworks + Experience designing scalable cloud-based AI solutions on Azure and integrating AI services into enterprise applications + Solid understanding of AI governance, security, responsible AI practices, and enterprise deployment standards + Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent technologies + Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders _At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
