Powering the agentic revolution in travel. Sabre is an AI-native technology leader, backed by one of the world’s largest travel data clouds. Built on an open, modular, cloud-native architecture, Sabre serves as the backbone for both established leaders and bold, new disruptors, guiding them to the next age of travel retailing through intelligent, connected, and personalized experiences. With AI at its core and operating at unparalleled scale, Sabre transforms insights into innovation, empowering airlines, hoteliers, agencies and other partners to retail, distribute and fulfill travel worldwide.
We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join our global IX Platform team, where innovation knows no borders. This team delivers core platform capabilities that connect airline systems, streamline complex workflows, and power critical distribution and servicing operations for airline partners worldwide. With an inclusive culture and flexible work environment, we work together with boldness, curiosity, and commitment so we can all win together.
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will serve as a vital bridge between airline customers, product teams, and engineering organizations. You will take ownership of functional scope, translate complex airline requirements into actionable specifications, and guide delivery to ensure solutions address real operational challenges. This is not a coding role, but it requires strong technical understanding and the ability to work closely with engineering teams. This position demands analytical thinking, deep domain depth, and technical fluency to manage demanding customer relationships and drive continuous improvement across international delivery teams.
What You'll Do
- Requirement & Domain Leadership: Partner directly with airline customers to analyze operational challenges, workflows, and business goals, translating them into structured functional requirements. Apply airline domain knowledge across retailing, distribution, servicing, offer/order management, pricing, or operations to align platform capabilities with industry standards.
- Technical & System Collaboration: Bridge business and technical teams by evaluating system behavior, APIs, data flows, configurations, and integrations to assess operational impact. Demonstrate the ability to understand and discuss APIs, integrations, data flows, system dependencies, configuration, logs, defects, environments, and platform constraints.
- Scope & Delivery Ownership: Independently own complex customer and product topics with minimal supervision. Clarify requirements, refine acceptance criteria, validate edge cases, and document system behavior. Build trust with both customers and internal engineering teams while proactively identifying risks, gaps, dependencies, and unclear requirements before they impact delivery.
- Customer Enablement & Stakeholder Management: Prepare and deliver solution demonstrations to customers, explaining platform capabilities and resolving complex functional or technical inquiries. Navigate demanding customer interactions with composure, addressing misunderstandings and moving escalated discussions toward constructive solutions.
- Agile Execution & Analysis: Analyze complex integration scenarios, platform behavior, and customer issues to deliver clear options, risk assessments, and recommendations. Support Agile delivery activities, including backlog refinement, user story creation, UAT preparation, and post-delivery validation.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, or Solution Analyst in complex enterprise software environments.
- Technical Depth: Technical fluency with APIs, system integrations, data structures, and configuration parameters— this is not a coding role, but requires the technical capability to work closely with engineering teams and discuss system dependencies, logs, defects, and platform constraints.
- Independence & Ownership: Proven ability to independently own complex customer and product topics with minimal supervision, proactively mitigating delivery risks, gaps, and unclear requirements.
- Customer Facing: Demonstrated ability to work directly with external enterprise customers, build trust, facilitate requirement workshops, and present solutions in high-stakes situations.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of airline industry processes, including offer and order management, reservations, ticketing, pricing, servicing, distribution, or NDC.
- Agile Expertise: Experience authoring user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria within Agile frameworks.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex concepts between technical and business audiences, alongside strong problem-solving capabilities to navigate ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with airline platform technologies, travel systems, GDS, PSS, NDC, or order management frameworks.
