Lead Childcare Teacher – Full-Time ($14-$21/hr)

PAY: $14-$21/hour

Imaginative Beginnings Early Learning Center is seeking a full-time Lead Childcare Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced childcare professional or early childhood educator who enjoys leading a classroom, creating engaging learning experiences, and building strong relationships with children and families.

We are hiring for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Classroom placement is based on experience, interests, and current center needs.

Typical schedule: Most positions follow a consistent daytime schedule (for example, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) within center hours of 5:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

What You Will Do

As a Lead Teacher, you will take primary responsibility for creating a safe, structured, nurturing, and engaging classroom while working collaboratively with other team members.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans

Create engaging learning experiences that support early literacy, math, social-emotional development, curiosity, and age-appropriate growth

Maintain a safe, structured, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment

Observe, assess, and document children’s growth and development

Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s needs, progress, and classroom experiences

Maintain required classroom records, including attendance, lesson plans, and daily reports

Follow state licensing requirements and center policies

Support program quality standards and collaborate with team members

Coordinate age-appropriate classroom activities, special events, and field trips when applicable

Qualifications

Required

At least 18 years of age

High school diploma or equivalent

Willingness to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention

Preferred - not required

Previous experience in a childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting

Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

CDA (Child Development Associate) or other early childhood credential

Experience with infants, toddlers, preschool, and/or Pre-K children

Familiarity with early learning standards and Kindergarten readiness

Strong organizational and communication skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs

Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day
