Lead Electrical Engineer

Job Description Summary

• We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the new Kokhav Hayarden Hydro Power Plant located in Israel (near Neve Or).
• As the Plant's Electrical Engineer you shall be responsible for leading a team and managing the full Electrical scope, including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, supporting planned activities and outages, as well as the implementation of tools and systems, all in accordance with contractual requirements, GE processes, EHS instructions and Country regulations.

Requirements:

• •Managing and training a team of Electrical technicians and Subcontractors.
• •Supervision of operational integrity and optimal efficiency of the electrical systems, reliability testing, planning, and performing preventive care and ongoing maintenance of electrical equipment.
• •Initiating improvements on electrical systems in coordination with Engineering.
• •Planning and executing ongoing maintenance activities, in coordination with the Operations team.
• •Building and implementing work procedures.
• •Monitoring spare parts inventory, drawings, and professional literature.
• •Maintaining continuous contact with IEC representatives.
• •Ensuring that all works on site are performed in accordance with the contract, the station's technical specifications and local regulations, and in adherence to high EHS and quality standards.

Qualifications

• •Licensed Electrical Engineer with an Israeli high voltage certification.
• •Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role, working with HV transformers, substations and heavy rotating equipment.
• •Knowledge and experience working with VFD’s, pumps, blowers, low voltage systems, generators, UPS, control systems and AC systems.
• •Previous experience working in an international company - an advantage.
• •Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• •Ability to work under pressure.
• •Excellent personal skills and ability to work in a team.
• •Willingness to work overtime and be available on weekends and holidays in case of emergency malfunctions.
• •Fluent in Hebrew and English
