This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to join our Wavelinx WAC team in Atlanta, Georgia or Peachtree City, Georgia, with Signify.

Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.

In this role, you will lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of embedded software solutions for connected systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to develop reliable, high-performance software from concept through product release.

What you ’ ll do

• •Design, develop, test, document, and maintain embedded software applications, subsystems, and components aligned with system requirements, project goals, and industry standards.
• •Create optimized, high-performance software solutions for resource-constrained platforms and support their successful integration into connected products and systems.
• •Collaborate with cross-functional teams, global technical communities, and research organizations to incorporate customer needs, market insights, and emerging technologies into engineering solutions.
• •Produce technical specifications, development reports, design documentation, and other project deliverables while supporting intellectual property creation and protection.
• •Contribute to technology roadmaps and provide technical coaching and mentoring to strengthen the team ’ s embedded software knowledge and capabilities.

More about you

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening

• •Bachelor ’ s or master ’ s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on embedded systems.
• •10 or more years of embedded software development experience, including strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• •Strong knowledge of embedded development concepts and experience developing software for resource-constrained platforms.
• •Experience working with IoT, smart home, connected systems, or similar technologies preferred.
• •Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work, collaborate across functions, and coach or mentor other engineers.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $122,570 $163,420 (based on experience level)

Bonus: target bonus opportunity 15%
