LEAD QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Summary

You will serve as a Lead Nondestructive Test Examiner (TE) in the Quality Assurance Department (Code 130), Non-Destructive Test Examiner Branch of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

• •You will act as the lead for one or more NDT methods, including establishing priorities, setting deadlines, and communicating instructions.
• •You will regularly mentor and supervise technical and training staff to ensure Test Examiners carry out their duties.
• •You will approve and manage the NDT inspector training and certification program for internal staff and contractors.
• •You will be responsible for approving NDT procedures and requirements.
• •You will oversee inspections and re-inspections of NDT work, assess NDT programs, and make sure training is carried out effectively.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical expertise in Non Destructive Test (NDT) work, developing plans and procedures, resolving NDT-related issues, and advising senior colleagues on final technical approvals to ensure compliance with timelines and quality standards.
