What You Will Do:

• •Provide day-to-day technical and field leadership to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the solar facility.
• •Lead scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, testing, electrical switching, and advanced troubleshooting of solar and Balance of Plant equipment.
• •Coordinate and guide technicians and contractors, ensuring work is properly planned and completed in accordance with safety requirements, permits, procedures, and established authorization limits.
• •Use SCADA, diagnostic tools, schematics, and electrical, mechanical, and other relevant drawings along with OEM manuals to assess equipment performance and resolve complex issues.
• •Lead job planning, hazard identification, pre-job briefings, field-level risk assessments, and control of hazardous energy activities.
• •Support technician development through coaching, knowledge sharing, and on-the-job training, while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• •Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities, contribute to investigations and root-cause reviews, and maintain accurate work records in Maximo.

Who You Are:

• •You have a college degree in an electrical field and at least five years of relevant experience working with solar or electrical assets or minimum three years as a Solar Electrician in good standing.
• •You bring advanced experience maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing AC and DC photovoltaic equipment, electrical control systems, and supporting Balance of Plant assets.
• •You are skilled in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, asset integrity inspections, electrical switching, SCADA systems, and complex equipment diagnostics.
• •You can confidently read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical documentation, and applicable electrical code requirements.
• •You demonstrate strong field leadership, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and act thoughtfully during time-sensitive or emergency situations.
• •You communicate effectively, collaborate respectfully with colleagues and contractors, and enjoy coaching others to achieve safe, high-quality outcomes.
• •You hold a valid driver’s licence and are willing to complete required safety and technical training. First Aid, CPR, AED, and OSHA 30 certifications are considered assets, where applicable.
• •Ability to successfully complete various background screening that include but is not limited to a 5-year driving record, criminal check, a company sponsored medical and drug testing.

Working Conditions:

• •This is a site-based position located in Stockdale, TX.
• •Occasional travel may be required to support maintenance activities at other Enbridge-operated facilities.
• •The role involves regular outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• •Physical requirements include regularly walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and stooping, as well as lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• •Work may involve repetitive use of hand tools and equipment and requires adequate vision, depth perception, and colour recognition to safely complete assigned tasks.
• •Flexible hours may be required to meet operational needs, including participation in a scheduled 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency response and unplanned maintenance.
• •The position operates in an active solar facility where strict adherence to electrical safety, hazardous energy control, working-at-heights, and other safe work practices is essential.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light-moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read the fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility can ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet, legs, and/or hands and arms.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Base Salary:

• •Base salary ranges from $85,500 – $100,500 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
• •Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
