Lead structural engineer - Precast

The Senior Precast Design Engineer will lead the structural design, coordination, and delivery of precast concrete systems for large-scale industrial, commercial, mission-critical, and data center projects. The role requires extensive expertise in precast engineering, connection design, constructability, and multidisciplinary coordination, ensuring technically robust, cost-effective, and schedule-driven solutions.

The candidate will act as a technical lead, mentor junior engineers, interface with clients and contractors, and contribute to engineering excellence, innovation, and standardization within the organization.

Technical Leadership

• •Lead structural design and engineering of precast concrete systems including:
• •Structural wall panels
• •Architectural cladding panels
• •Columns and beams
• •Floor slabs
• •Staircases
• •Hollow core slabs
• •Utility and service structures

• •Perform design checks and independently review complex precast engineering calculations.
• •Lead design of:
• •Temporary conditions
• •Lifting and handling
• •Transportation loads
• •Storage conditions
• •Erection-stage stability

Develop optimized precast solutions balancing structural performance, manufacturing efficiency, transportation limitations, and erection requirements.

Connection Engineering

• •Lead design and review of complex precast connections including:
• •Bolted connections
• •Welded connections
• •Embedded plate connections
• •Grouted sleeve connections
• •Hybrid steel-precast interfaces

Ensure compliance with project-specific robustness, progressive collapse, and seismic requirements.

Project Delivery

• •Manage multiple projects and design packages simultaneously.
• •Serve as the primary technical interface with:
• •Clients
• •Structural consultants
• •Architects
• •Contractors
• •Fabrication facilities
• •Site erection teams

• •Participate in design reviews, value engineering sessions, and technical workshops.
• •Ensure design deliverables are completed on schedule and within project quality requirements.

Data Center & Mission Critical Projects

• •Lead precast design solutions for hyperscale and enterprise data centers.
• •Coordinate structural interfaces with:
• •CSA teams
• •BIM teams
• •Mechanical and Electrical disciplines

• •Support fast-track design programs and phased construction strategies.
• •Develop solutions for:
• •Large façade panels
• •Equipment yard walls
• •Security and blast-resistant structures
• •Modular construction methodologies

• •Minimum 8+ years dedicated experience in precast concrete design.
• •Strong experience delivering large industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or data center projects.
