JOB TITLE: Lead System Engineering
JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Parkway Plano, TX 75075
DUTIES: Responsible for translating the core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution (consisting of platform, network, software, cloud, etc.) through functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development throughout the vertical stack. Define designs. Provide technical enablement for application components and subsystems for an application(s). Drives important design decisions for development team. Elaborate the design and interfaces for specific components including: Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces. Validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others. Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline including: Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and explore alternatives. Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities. Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, retrospective workshops. Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Use the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for application delivery and support. Perform solution analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, and implementation activities. Design system specifications, establishing standards, and performing programming/coding tasks. Define and document non-functional requirements (NFRs). Apply Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. support regulatory risk and compliance management activities. Create and design solution models and architecture artifacts. Perform Solution Functional Fit Analysis to evaluate solution alignment with business needs. Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, Laravel (PHP), PostgreSQL, and PowerShell. Use Microsoft Azure services, including Synapse, Pipelines, Functions, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), mail services, file shares, security, and maintenance. Perform automation analysis and develop scripts to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Design and implement system architectures and operational processes to support reliability and scalability. Apply technical knowledge of web tracking tools and related technologies. Create and maintain best-practice documentation across multiple systems and functional areas. Work within scaled Agile development teams and collaborate across multiple stakeholders. Analyze and interpret large datasets and synthesizing findings into actionable insights. Apply Machine Learning techniques and utilize AI-driven tools and solutions. Apply accessibility standards and guidelines including WCAG and WAI-ARIA. Use accessibility and assistive technology testing tools including JAWS, NVDA, AMP, WAVE, and ZoomText to evaluate and validate application and website accessibility.
