Lead Teacher – Junior Preschool | West 85 Campus

OVERVIEW:

Are you an ECE who knows how to turn curiosity, imagination and exploration into meaningful learning?

Fueling Brains Academies is looking for a Right Brain Lead Teacher to lead a consistent cohort of children aged 19 months to 3 years.

You’ll create engaging, developmentally appropriate Right Brain experiences that encourage creativity, imagination, exploration, communication and self-expression, while providing the consistency and responsive support young children need to grow in confidence and independence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Lead a consistent cohort of Junior Preschool children throughout their daily learning and routines.

Plan and lead engaging Right Brain learning experiences that encourage creativity, imagination and exploration.

Use storytelling, sensory experiences, imaginative play, music, art and open-ended activities to support learning and self-expression.

Support children in developing early independence, self-regulation and positive social interactions.

Observe children’s development and interests and use these insights to guide your planning.

Support daily routines including toileting, meals, dressing, outdoor play, rest and transitions.

Build positive relationships with families and communicate regularly about children’s progress and milestones.

Collaborate with fellow educators and leadership to maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 2 or Level 3 certification - Level 3 preferred.

Experience working with toddlers or young preschool-aged children is preferred.

Confidence planning and leading developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

A creative, warm and responsive approach to working with young children.

Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for helping young children learn through exploration and discovery.
