About the Role : Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies Company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Application Tester who has hands-on experience with test automation and testing tools, along with a good understanding of business process concepts. Candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software applications by designing and executing automated and manual tests, collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements, and contributing to improving overall product quality of Pratt & Whitney’s enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions.

What You will do :

• •Design, develop and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• •Perform manual testing of applications to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
• •Collaborate closely with Business Units and stakeholders to understand application business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases.
• •Identify, record, and document bugs thoroughly, and track defects through resolution.
• •Participate in requirement review sessions to provide insights from a testing and business perspective.
• •Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test data.
• •Define acceptance criteria and work on user story grooming sessions.
• •Work closely with development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• •Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and tools.
• •Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams regarding testing progress, risks, and issues.

Qualifications You must have:

• •Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of experience , or a Master’s degree in the same disciplines with 5+ years of experience in application testing , including hands-on experience in test automation .
• •Proficiency with automation tools such as Tosca, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
• •Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
• •Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation.
• •Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• •Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• •Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications we prefer

• •Experience with performance and security testing.
• •Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• •Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP).
• •Exposure to manufacturing business processes such as requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• •Good understanding of manufacturing processes, Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing principles.
