Heatherwood is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our Sales and Service team. This role plays a vital part in welcoming prospective residents, building lasting relationships, and ensuring an exceptional leasing and living experience within our communities. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and sales-driven, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to present lease terms and rent increases effectively.

Requirements

Responsibilities Will Include:

• •Warmly greet prospective residents and conduct engaging property tours.
• •Highlight community features, apartment benefits, and neighborhood amenities.
• •Guide prospects through the leasing process, including applications, background, and credit checks.
• •Prepare and execute lease agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• •Manage move-in logistics, including scheduling, creating move-in packets, and ensuring a smooth transition.
• •Respond to inquiries from residents and property management via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
• •Support resident satisfaction through timely and professional communication.
• •Assist with lease renewals and confidently explain rent adjustments.
• •Conduct market research and competitive shopping as needed.
• •Plan and support resident engagement activities and events.
• •Travel to multiple community locations as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

We’re seeking someone who is approachable, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about helping residents find their next home.

• •1+ years of customer service or sales experience required.
• •Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
• •Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Yardi experience preferred.
• •Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• •Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• •Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Prior leasing or property management experience.
• •Experience with lease renewals and competitive shopping.
• •Bilingual proficiency.

Education:

• •High school diploma or equivalent required.
• •Associate degree or higher preferred.
