Lecturer in Politics (Political Theory)

The Department of Politics at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for a 4-credit course in the subfield of political theory to be offered in Spring 2027. This course can be on a topic proposed by applicants. Possible topics are feminist theory, human rights, global justice, but others will be seriously considered. This course can be offered as an intermediate or advanced undergraduate course in political theory.

Candidates with an MA or PhD in political science and training in Political Theory will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, draft course syllabi, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is October 15, 2026.

This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.

The compensation for this four-credit course is $8764.20.
